G-U and Other Student Sports ClubsThe Gonzaga University is a very prestigious university in the state of Washington and home to the highly recognized Gonzaga University Women's lacrosse team. There are some very competitive clubs and leagues within the campus and these range from the varsity sports to recreational sports. The most popular of these is probably the Gonzaga University Women's Lacrosse Team and the G-U club.G-U is an elite club that focuses on high performance and is part of the Gonzaga University Mens Lacrosse Team. The primary focus is at the end of the year for the G-U lacrosse club where the goals and tasks are placed for the team.This club is very competitive and has a few members that travel the state of Washington playing with the team. This is not the only way to reach the level of play in women's lacrosse, as there are clubs out there that focus on other levels such as mid-majors that use similar strategies to bring players up to the top level.Another fun way t o get involved in women's lacrosse at Gonzaga is the Gonzaga University Women's Golf Club. They hold regular play days where they put on their normal games and give out some great prizes.Players can also form their own golf teams and the members of this team would be eligible to participate in any tournaments that the Gonzaga University Men's Lacrosse Team participates in. The members of the team are expected to go into coaching a team and take coaching classes in order to become an assistant coach at the club.The Gonzaga University Men's Rowing Club is another club that takes on many sports that they have and are geared towards sports that have a strong relationship with academics. They take on several different classes that emphasize the philosophy of rowing to get students better and the school.G-U is one of the biggest student clubs on campus and is often seen by more than just students.
